Tridive Newsletter |
|
Hello and welcome to the first ever Tridive newsletter! The aim
of this mailing is to keep everyone up to date with things that are
happening with the school and to introduce new students and divers
to the activities that are going on.
As the British diving season hits its peak we have a few new
divers joining us on our trips and training sessions, as well as
some old faces progressing through the ranks and starting the
Divemaster course.
As autumn approaches we are already looking to book trips for
October and November so that we all keep active regardless of the
British weather! | |

Tridive does Bovisand August

After
getting blown out in May we finally got to travel down to Plymouth to dive
with Danny and Dave at Discovery Divers. The guys have recently relocated
to Fort Bovisand on the outer reaches of Plymouth Sound and are slowly
fitting the place out. As first time visitors we were very impressed with
the whole set up, on site accommodation/air station/cafe/shore diving/rib
launching!! There’s not much that you could possibly want (except maybe a
closer pub!).
Over the weekend we did 5 dives including 2 on the James Egan Layne, 1
on HMS Scylla. A night dive and a scavenging dive on the panther shoals.
Congratulations to Mat Nash who completed his Night Diver Speciality on
the trip, Mat is now just 2 steps away from the ultimate in recreational
diving- Master Scuba Diver! To find out more follow the link below

Are you ready to be
the best?
What is
the PADI Master Scuba Diver Certification? This certification denotes that
you've reached the highest recreational diver level in the PADI System of
diver education. PADI Master Scuba Diver indicates you have a significant
amount of training and experience in a variety of dive environments.
We already have a
number of divers working towards the MSD certification and soon we will be
adding a Tridive Hall of Fame to the website to acknowledge their
acheivements. If you would like to join the likes of Mat, Andy and David
then sign up for the Master Scuba Diver Challenge now by taking advantage
of the speciality of the month! Who will be Tridive's first female
MSD?

Fishguard August 2005 | |

All aboard HMS
Sally!!
We dived
out of Fishguard for the first time on Saturday 27th August. It was a long
day as we didn’t get off the boat until 7.30pm, but we saw lots of seals
during the lunch break which made the day an overall success. Our boat,
the Sally, was small and quite smelly, but did the job and we did a good
dive on the wreck of the Dan Beard. After our homemade minestrone soup we
did our second dive. The visibility was terrible and we aborted the dive.
But we were keen for more, so we tried again in another bay round the
corner, but still shocking vis, so we gave it up as a bad job. Anyone see
the story of the sunfish spotted off West Wales? Well we saw it (or its
friend)!
